Built 1853

Also known as the Redbud Inn, the Hester House was built and owned by Judge James C. Hester who was a County Circuit Court Judge from 1870-1897. He was also the editor of the Hickory Withe newspaper. In 1965, the property was sold to Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Woods, retired school teachers and was restored. The home features “Greek Revival” architecture, including square pillars, a low roof and no dormers. Since being purchased by Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Alexander in 1992, it has served as a business office and a bed and breakfast.
